Why you should take this course……

 

This course helped me in developing a lot of new skills. It helped me in being able to participate in class, talk confidently, changing my perspective about sharing deep things with people i don’t know it helped me in understanding that it can make a change when i talk about it and also it can help people around me to learn from it i also learned from my classmates a lot. The games we used to play like surcose and cloud four helped me in thinking deeply about the questions and trying to find myself since i don’t take a lot of time in having my time alone and thinking deeply. I also learned that we can always choose our own path in learning and expressing our thoughts and ideas. I learned about trauma a lot from Mays Emad’s and how it is affecting me and how to deal with my own trauma and with people who have trauma and this is a thing that I will always use in my academic, social, and career life. Identity is what makes me who I am and it’s the most important thing for me. Understanding that people have different identities, cultures, biases, and traumas made my life easier because it made me more understandable and i came to a point where i give people excuses since they think and behave differently and i am applying this also in everything for the rest of my life whether it is love, career, social, or academic life. Understanding traumas, identity, equity, bias, the power of language, wellbeing, and cultures was a journey not just some lessons since i learned everything by being put in the situation. I will use Soliya in my academic, social, and career life because it made me break the fear of interacting with people with different languages and cultures. When I travel I will take the time to talk to people out there without fear of rejection. In my career life I won’t run from having a discussion and I will take it as an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone. Also learning things like creating a blogpost, a game, gif, and video is going to help me in always sharing what I love in an informative and entertaining way.

 

                           Things you will accomplish by the end of the course…..

   These are the perfect examples for what I learned from this course because each one of them has a breakdown of the       most important things I learned from this course. Also they were the most things I had fun while doing.

 



 

                                                                                    Things i suggest……

 

  • I would change the amount of submissions because they are too much.
  • I would also give an assignment instead of reading or listening and reflecting. I would give an assignment to students to go to the university and have a talk with some people about a certain topic.
  • I would add more in class games that have a huge impact.
