On Domestic Abuse (Jana, 2017):

One thing that I have liked about this game is that the author gave context and proved that she is not biased and abuse can happen for both males and females, however it happens more in case of females.

Overall, I think the author really did a good job trying to show how domestic abuse is a red line, however some light should be spotted at avoidable behaviors or preventable ones.

On Gender Equality (Mohamed and Fatma, 2017)

This game was more realistic for me, even though it discussed important issue in our society.

The outcomes and the decisions were more accurate than Domestic Abuse.

On Illiteracy. by Ayah and Manar (2018)

Really wanted to try it but the link was closed

Peer Destruction., about body shaming by Salma  & Aliaa (2019)

I can relate somehow to this game since I am a little bit thinner to a man to my age. I didn’t like the black and white decisions and after choosing a good choice the outcome is not like what I have accepted.

Know Yourself. by Nermine and Yasmin (2018)

I really like at the beginning how the there was a choice to choose to be a male or female. However, some of the scenarios were just engineered to tell you don’t judge or don’t assume. Because we as human beings behave based on assumptions and not by not judging our surroundings.

Spent

Wow, spent was really great, professional and it has a lot of ideas that I wanted to implement. Maybe it contains some hard decisions and outcomes, but I believe I can make some modifications to make it better.

It gave me really good ideas for my game.

BBC Syrian Refugees

This game had complicated choices and it forced me to think deeply before choosing, however showing the probable outcomes of each decision maybe wasn’t a good idea. It would have been better if the description for each choice wasn’t visible.

Maybe the player chooses to see those outcomes willingly could have been better.

Evolve

We played this game in the classroom and I have to say it was deep.

How deep? it made me reflect on my self when I did not need to. Made me share thoughts that I always think about inside my head only. Made me feel comfortable after sharing those thoughts on my self in a group and found someone who can reflect and relate with or even accept me the way I am.

Final Reflection and Conclusion

Some games were really biased and focusing on a really narrow events and a lot of What-Ifs. Like they have assumed the worst of the scenarios just to show how hard is the situation is.

Also I have found it really hard to take decisions like I was someone else, like being a female in an abusive relationship. Moreover, the choices were giving away the decisions. Like for example I am expecting if I chose this, this will happen.

I liked the general games, or the games that asked me in the beginning if I want to play as male or female.

my Top 3 games were Spent, Know your self and Evolve

I planning on that my game will have a mix between the top games that I have liked.
