1. What have you learned intellectually about the topics we’ve covered so far? Please refer to at least four readings, videos, or activities that helped you learn this and explain why. What questions do you still have about these topics, and how might you use your Soliya experience to enrich your knowledge? Insert links to any videos or readings. (4 points)

I have learned about the different uses of AI and ways of implementing them into my work field and studies. The main activities that helped me with this is the activity we did in class where each person had to write down an AI based website and next to it they wrote how it helps them. This activity provided me with new AI alternatives to ChatGPT that have different uses such as generating images or a grammar-based system. Another activity that helped enhance my knowledge on the topic is the activity where we had to ask AI about different games (Ikigai) within the criterion we placed for it. This was beneficial in terms of knowing how AI can sometimes provide information that is completely inaccurate yet still be beneficial one way or the other. Another activity that aided my knowledge towards AI is the “AI in my profession” project where I mainly gained knowledge from my professor where he explained to me in details the danger of using AI in my major. Lastly, the final activity that helped me develop more information that we learned throughout the semester was the TEDx where an African woman (I honestly don’t remember her name); she talked about our preemptive biases towards people that might not be shown unless we were put in a certain circumstance. This helped me discover the different biases that I might have without realizing it. Soliya will help me learn more of my hidden cognitive biases and due to the work we have been doing throughout the semester I now know how to deal with them.

  1. What have you learned about yourselfand the way you view the world so far? What questions do you still have about your own self and how you present yourself to the world? How do you expect your identity to affect your Soliya experience as you interact with people from other cultures? How might you use the Soliya experience to enrich your self-knowledge? (2 points)

I have learned that I approach people in an unbiased way yet when I start dealing with them, I might develop some empty biases. Due to the activities, we’ve done in class I am working on learning how to deal with them. My identity is a huge part of me, if im being honest I am scared of dealing with people that have opposing views (mainly politically) due to how attached I am to my political views. My religious beliefs will not be a problem when dealing with people since I am exposed to several people of different religious beliefs, yet I am in a community with the same political beliefs. I will use Soliya to dsicvoer and learn more about the different political beliefs’ others might have and try to understand their reasoning.

  1. What have you learned in terms of interactionswith people who are different from you? What questions do you have about how to become a better “global citizen”? How would you like your Soliya experience to help you learn to be a good “global digital citizen”? How might you use your Soliya experience to enhance your ability to interact with culturally different people? (2 points)

I have learned how to deal with them yet understand them is still an issue for me.

  1. What questions do you have about how to become a better “global citizen”?

Possibly how to deal with people from different nationalities without inputting my cognitive biases.

  1. How would you like your Soliya experience to help you learn to be a good “global digital citizen”?

Possibly learn how to deal with different people with a neutral stance.

  1. How might you use your Soliya experience to enhance your ability to interact with culturally different people? (2 points)

I would open up controversial conversations and force myself to remain neutral and calm when discussing certain topics.

  1. What do you expect would happen if the issue of Palestine came up in Soliya?

Honestly, I see people not commenting on the matter due to their fear of rejection from different people.

  1. What would you like to do if you were able to direct the discussion?

I would start by saying my stance then following up with a neutral statement that shows them I am not biased towards them.

  1. What kind of support might you need? (2 points)

If there is another person with me that has the same beliefs as me I would like if they spoke.
