Ikigai results

Ikigai (生きがい) is a Japanese concept that refers to “a reason for being” or “a reason to wake up in the morning.” It combines iki (生き = life) and gai (がい = worth, value).

It’s about finding purpose and meaning in life—something that brings you joy, gives you motivation, and makes life feel worthwhile.

In modern self-development, it’s often represented as the intersection of four elements:

  1. What you love (your passion)
  2. What you are good at (your talents/skills)
  3. What the world needs (a sense of contribution)

My elements

I love Nature and helping others.

I am good at focusing on details.

The world needs to follow the path of Allah (Values and living with faith).

Reflection

Based on my Ikigai results and the Via results, I have found that some of the results are identical, like loving to help others [kindness], having spirituality and thinking of the meaning of life, and appreciation of beauty, which also includes loving nature. However, I have found some results from the via results that I feel I do not have, such as self-regulation, bravery, and leadership. I am not seeing myself as a good person in controlling my feelings, as I feel like I easily lose my temper over small things. In addition, sometimes I am not brave and unable to express my rights, and that has caused me so many issues. Also, I am not an expert of how to manage groups or taking over leadership roles, as I feel like I am shy and introverted.

Some of the ideas that I want to create games based on, suggested by ChatGPT, are:

  • Path of Light: A Journey of Faith and Choices
  • A narrative-driven game where players explore nature-inspired worlds, meet characters facing moral dilemmas, and must choose paths guided by honesty, kindness, and spirituality.
  • Purpose: Teach values (hope, forgiveness, faith) interactively.
  • Whispers of Wisdom
  • A puzzle/adventure game where listening carefully to characters’ stories (your strength) and paying attention to details help the player uncover hidden truths.
  • Purpose: Encourage deep listening and moral decision-making.

A reflection on the AI’s results:

I have selected 2 of the most suitable games from my perspective, and I see that ChatGPT’s ideas are a little bit complex. Therefore, I feel like I will go for the first game idea, which is “Path of Light,” because it is a narrative game. I have found it interesting because it is a journey that exposes the player to different choices that teach them how to navigate life with true purpose behind the materialistic thinking. I see it as a journey towards truth. However, I am going to simplify it just to be easy to create.

I have used the AI in the process by asking it to give me ideas for a game using my Ikigai results and the test results.
