Identifying as an Arab does not prevent one from also identifying as an African. Africa is a diverse continent, and instead of dividing ourselves, we should remember that most of our countries, both in North and Sub-Saharan Africa, were colonized. Standing united against the divisions created by colonial powers is the only way to get back our shared strength and identity.
