in the first test l did the IAT on presidents and here are the results
During the Implicit Association Test (IAT) you just completed:
Your responses suggested a slight automatic preference for Donald Trump over Joe Biden.
which is true because l think Joe biden is too old to run the country and he caused a spike in inflation unlike Donald Trump who is an economist. l strongly believe that if Trump was president he would have stopped the war in Ukraine and in palestine from ever happening. So l think it’s surprising that it’s not a strong automatic preference for Donald Trump over Joe Biden, because l detest him.
in the second one l did the IAT on the sexuality IAT
During the Implicit Association Test (IAT) you just completed:
Your responses suggested a strong automatic preference for Straight people over Gay people.
which is understanable since l live in egypt, which is a country who is strongly against homosexuality and also it’s forbidden in my religion but what caught me of guard is that a quarter of people have a strong preference to straight people which is weird since l thought that most european countries promote the lgbtq+. what differentiates this test from the previous one is that it on the last slide it asked question about if gay people should adopt etc.. which i think in the last test they should have implemented a system that is similar ro this

lastly l decided to ask chatgbt about the reliability of this test and this was it had to say
Points Supporting Credibility
- Revealing Subtle Biases: The IAT has shown that people often hold unconscious associations that might not align with their explicit beliefs. This can be valuable for identifying implicit attitudes or biases people are unaware of.
- Predictive Validity: Some studies suggest that IAT scores can predict certain types of behavior, such as interpersonal interactions and judgments. This can be especially relevant in areas like hiring practices and law enforcement.
- Widespread Use: The IAT has been used extensively in both academic research and diversity training programs, making it a familiar tool in social psychology and beyond.
Criticisms of Credibility
- Reliability Issues: The test-retest reliability of the IAT is relatively low, meaning that people’s scores can vary significantly if they take the test multiple times. This instability can cast doubt on the test’s consistency in measuring implicit biases.
- Predictive Power Limitations: Critics argue that the IAT’s ability to predict real-world discriminatory behavior is limited. While it might show associations, it doesn’t necessarily indicate that people will act on those associations.
- Methodological Concerns: Some argue that the test measures cultural knowledge rather than personal bias, as people might be faster at associating certain words not due to bias but because of societal stereotypes they’re aware of, not necessarily endorsing.https://chatgpt.com/c/67295ed7-4174-8007-944a-de2099e2a490.
we can see that even AI raised important topics on both sides of the spectrum like how we do things unconcsiasly that might affect something important like a job interview all because we have a certain bias but that not all people act on their biases and that there tests can vary if they took the test multiple times .laslty l wanted to make a reflection about the video of Bianna, l really liked how he used humor to explain how biases affect all types of people everywhere. Also how he thought the test was wrong but then he unconscially sat next to an asian person, so it verified the authenticity of the test. I liked how he explained that everyone has biased because it’s human nature but that we have to work on it to reduce it.

Wait, Biden is old but Trump is not? They’re almost the same age!
