Among the many subjects I have studied in this course are identity, empathy, equity, and equality. According to the show “How Language Shapes the Way We Think,” language is the primary element that can affect a person’s personality since it reflects where they live and the community in which they live. Also, we read an article on the difficult lives of people in Palestine, and by imagining what their lives are like, we have developed empathy. For me, the activities we do at the beginning of each class are really helpful since they provide me more insight into who I am, how I’m feeling, and what colleges I’m attending.
Through the course, I’ve discovered that my experiences and background shape my viewpoint. I’m curious to learn more about who I am and how my perspective has influenced how I interact with others. Since I will be able to see my biases in the game, I believe that my identity will play a big part in it. This game has the potential to transform the world, and I hope it will help me better comprehend it.
We typically interact with a lot of individuals in this course who are different from me, making it necessary for us to pay attention and comprehend what those around us are thinking. I’m still not sure how to properly communicate across cultural boundaries and become a better global citizen. I think that solyia will help me learn more about this topic.
In the event that the topic of palesting comes up on Solyia, I would like to learn more about its history so that I may show respect and empathy for those who are struggling there. I might require assistance in order to listen to others’ viewpoints during conversations and figure out how to keep things constructive.
