- What were the most impactful learning experiences for me in this course? (whether I gained knowledge, skills or attitudes), and what specifically helped me learn it (think of this as “significant moments” where in-class activities, interactions, readings, videos, assignments, etc promoted learning): (3-4 points)
One of the most impactful learning experiences in this course was gaining knowledge about the use of AI including creating our game using it. Before this course, I mainly used tools like ChatGPT and Grammarl. Working on the game challenged me to think critically about both the topic and the tool itself. I initially thought it would be very difficult, but once I started using Gemini I realized it was manageable. However, I learned that AI-generated content requires careful editing. Simply giving a prompt did not guarantee accurate results, sometimes scenarios were missing, and modifying one element caused others to disappear. This taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of reviewing AI outputs critically.
Moreover, the two-minute papers were also a very impactful, they encouraged me to stay focused during class so I could later reflect on what I learned. This method helped the information stick with me more effectively than leaving class and immediately forgetting the content. Also, the in-class activities such as understanding different types of oppression, including ideological, internalized, interpersonal, and institutional oppression. Learning how these forms of oppression operate in real-life contexts such as gender/sexism, xenophobia, and ableism. Additionally, other activities and reflection assignments pushed me out of my comfort zone. I usually find it difficult to reflect deeply on my emotions and tend to simplify them, but these activities helped me practice elaborating on my thoughts and feelings.
Finally, the Soliya sessions were a powerful learning experience. At first, I felt anxious about talking with people from different countries for two hours, unsure if we would connect or find common ground. Surprisingly, the experience turned out to be nice. I discovered new perspectives on how people think and express their opinions, while also finding shared interests and values. The respectful atmosphere, active listening, and inclusivity made the discussions meaningful, and I felt grateful to have participated in such an enriching intercultural dialogue.
2- If I were to show someone my learning in this course, I would use these three things that I created (i.e. assignments, blogposts, etc) because…. (3 points) *hyperlink the particular assignment or reading or video or blogpost*
- The Game I Created
I personally enjoyed the process of creating it. Developing ten scenarios was not easy, but it challenged me to think critically and creatively. This was something I had never imagined myself doing before, and it helped me apply both course concepts and AI tools in a practical way.

- Final Reflection on the Game
The second one is my final reflection about the game I created. This reflection shows the full process of game creation, including the challenges I faced and how I overcame them. It demonstrates my learning journey, problem-solving skills, and my ability to critically reflect on my own work.

- “AI in Your Profession” Assignment
The third one is the “AI in Your Profession” assignment. This assignment helped me understand how AI is being used in the career I would like to pursue in the future. By interviewing two professors from my major and asking them about their views on AI and its relation to my field, I gained insights that were truly eye-opening. The interviews were very interesting, and I learned a lot from their perspectives and experiences.

3- If I could change 2-3 things about the course to improve it, I would change these things… (explain how) (2-3 points)
One change I would suggest is replacing the many small assignments with fewer, larger assignments. Larger assignments would be easier to track, allow more time for deeper thinking, and help students manage their workload more effectively without forgetting multiple small tasks.Another improvement would be to include more group-based assignments instead of completing most tasks individually. Working in groups would encourage collaboration, idea-sharing, and learning from different perspectives, which would strengthen both understanding and engagement in the course.
4- In one sentence: What kind of person should take this course? (1 point)
I feel the person that is able to be on time because it is very important to be punctual since the activities start at the beginning of the class.
5- Reflect on the tools we learned about in this course. Which ones did I like, and how I might use them in the future personally, academically or professionally? Which oes did I not like and why? (4 points) [note, make sure AI and the classroom technology itself is among the tools you reflect on for a total of 5 different tools].
Throughout this course, I learned to use several tools that I found useful and engaging, and I can see myself using many of them in the future academically, personally, and professionally.
One of the tools I really liked was the Creativity Course blog platform. I would recommend it to professors because it is more meaningful than simply submitting assignments and forgetting about them. The blog format allows me to revisit my work at any time and see everything I have done throughout the semester in one place. Being able to add images also made the posts more visually appealing and helped me express my ideas beyond just text.
Another important tool was the classroom technology, especially the technological whiteboards. Having multiple boards projected during activities made learning easier and more interactive. Since all the boards were connected to the professor’s computer, it helped everyone follow along, participate, and engage with the material more effectively during class.
In terms of AI tools, I enjoyed using Gemini, especially for creating the game. Although the process took time and required a lot of editing, Gemini helped by offering ideas and suggestions that supported my creativity. I would use it again in the future if I wanted to design another interactive project or game.
I also found Perplexity very useful during the “Exploring AI Tools in Research” assignment. Before this course, I did not know about it, but I was impressed by its ability to generate quizzes with explanations and even audio explanations in the form of a podcast-style conversation. This made learning more enjoyable, especially when trying to understand difficult topics.
However, I did not like using Keenious as much because it had several limitations. It could only provide an overview of a document and help with understanding the content, but it could not generate quizzes, create study materials, or assist with completing assignments. Because of these restrictions, I do not see myself using it frequently in the future.
6- Reflect on the GCC experience and especially what would have made it better for you (1 point)
I completed the alternative assignment for the GCC and interviewed two colleagues about their experience. Both of them shared that they really enjoyed the Zoom meeting, and a common point they mentioned was that showing their ALTC helped break the initial awkwardness. This made it easier for participants to find common interests, feel more comfortable, and open the door for meaningful discussions.
- This final point is not a question, but an extra point for creativity in the way you present the final reflection (1 point). For example, you can make the reflection like a letter to other students, or an advertisement for the course, or infographic.
For the creative element of my final reflection, I was keen on choosing colors that represent the classroom atmosphere and the overall vibe of the course.
