Well if this was a first time for me making a game I probably would have a bigger sense of accomplishment, but it is still my first mentally/empathetically related game I have made. I would love to share some of the games I made but they are movement based games so complicated to share, but off topic.
Changes I have made compared to the first was added 4 more scenarios to increase the thrill and pressure of the game, fixed logical errors because there was multiple such as being asked for $4000 when you could never have that amount even with corruption ,fixed health bar irregularities, changed color palette to better suit color-blind friendliness (used AI though cause color contrast was taking a lot of time), added proper judge verdicts and intensified corruption consequences (unrealistic though), added game restart options and yes I do kind of sound like a software engineer right now, but hey I am one :). Lastly, I moved the game from html code to Netlify as requested so it should be more easily accessible and no more game non-runability.
If I had more time I would actually switch the entirely to QT and create visually interactive game were movement is possible (naturally with limitations) and changed scenarios a bit were each move has consequences as well as changing it from a scenario system to a level system where each choice makes the game more difficult overtime, but all that aside it is simply not possible with the amount of time in a semester and it’s not like making something like this would give me bonus grades over my peers as it is unfair to get something simply because I know something they don’t (but hey if this was monetized…I’m all in ;).
I have learned many things one self reflection and realization on current life surroundings of corruption, next is empathy transfer through personal means, I don’t have to say things to make someone understand my point of view sometimes I can literally put them in my shoes, got to add the opthalmology aspect as well understanding that others struggle with visibility. Last but not least is my major benefit, I got to experience html for once as I am unfamiliar with front-end languages I got to learn one for a change and now I guess I am a full-stack developer ^^(not really).
