Digital Narrative Games Part 4 (First Draft)- Marwan Madkour
Stress is something I, and many people like me, deal with every day, but we rarely think about how our daily decisions affect it. This idea inspired me to create Stress Management: The Decision Game. It is a very interactive experience (in Google Slides) based on ten scenarios that reflect situations students and young professionals often face.
In each scenario, you are given a situation and three different choices, each showing a different way to respond to stress. After choosing an option, you move to the next slide, where the outcome that you chose is explained. The components of this outcome are “what happened, what it means, and what you can learn from that decision.” The game is designed so you can go back and try different options or move forward, helping you understand how different choices lead to different results.
What makes this project important to me is that it focuses not just on stress itself, but on how we think and make decisions under pressure. Some scenarios focus on external challenges such as workload or financial stress, while others look at internal struggles such as perfectionism, comparison, and uncertainty. This makes the experience more realistic.
This is the first version of the game, and I see it as something that can be improved with feedback. Below, you will find the PowerPoint and a playable version of the game. I encourage you to try it, explore different choices, and share your thoughts. Your feedback will help improve and develop the project further.
