1. l think academically AI is sometimes used inappropriately because a lot of students are using it to cheat. After all, it reduces time and it’s a lot easier than solving it yourself and students sometimes don’t understand the benefit of doing the assignment themselves. Shortly l think AI will replace a lot of insignificant jobs in tech because of how powerful it’s becoming.
  2. AI is transforming the tech landscape in numerous ways, with applications expanding across various fields. Here are some key areas where AI is and will continue to be used in tech:
    1. Automation and Robotics: AI is driving advances in automation, allowing machines and robots to perform complex tasks without human intervention. This includes manufacturing, logistics, and even autonomous vehicles like self-driving cars and drones.
    2. Machine Learning and Data Analytics: AI enhances data analysis by identifying patterns and insights from massive datasets, enabling predictive analytics. This can be applied to fields like finance, healthcare, and marketing to predict trends, detect fraud, or optimize operations.
    3. Natural Language Processing (NLP): AI powers language understanding and generation, as seen in virtual assistants (like Siri or Alexa), chatbots, and machine translation. AI models are also used for summarizing texts, answering questions, and enhancing communication tools.
    4. Personalized Recommendations: AI-driven recommendation engines personalize user experiences in e-commerce (like Amazon’s product recommendations), streaming services (like Netflix), and social media platforms, tailoring suggestions based on user behavior and preferences.
    5. Cybersecurity: AI helps to detect and prevent cyber threats by analyzing patterns in network traffic and identifying anomalies that may indicate a breach. AI-driven security systems can also automate responses to minimize damage from attacks.
    6. Healthcare: AI is being used in diagnostics, drug discovery, personalized medicine, and medical imaging. For instance, AI models can assist in analyzing X-rays or MRIs, identifying diseases, and recommending treatments faster and more accurately.
    7. AI in Software Development: AI-powered tools, like code completion assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot), help developers write code more efficiently. These tools can suggest entire code blocks, refactor code, or even detect bugs automatically.
    8. Customer Service Automation: AI-driven chatbots and virtual assistants can handle routine inquiries and customer service tasks, improving response times and reducing costs for companies.
    9. Gaming and Virtual Reality: AI is enhancing NPC behavior, procedural content generation, and creating more immersive and dynamic gaming experiences. AI also plays a role in virtual and augmented reality, making these technologies more interactive and responsive.
    10. Edge Computing and IoT: AI is crucial for processing data at the “edge,” where devices like sensors or cameras need to act autonomously. AI enables devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) to make real-time decisions without relying on centralized cloud systems.
    11. AI in Creative Industries: AI is being used for generating art, music, and writing, enabling creators to collaborate with machines or use AI tools to enhance their creative processes.
    12. Augmented and Predictive Maintenance: AI can predict equipment failures in industries by analyzing data from sensors, enabling maintenance before breakdowns happen, which reduces downtime and improves efficiency.

The integration of AI in these areas is helping to reshape industries and create new opportunities, while also raising important questions about ethics, privacy, and the future of work.

  3. l interviewed a family friend who works at Microsoft in Cairo, he told me that like l said it’s becoming more difficult to reduce cheating because of AI. Professionally he thinks that AI will help a lot in the industry because it helps newcomers learn faster and reduces time wasting but it’s really unstable and in a few years it could evolve a lot faster and potentially change the industry completely
  4. l interviewed a family friend who works for a company in Saudi Arabia as a remote software engineer and he honestly told me that he doesn’t know what’s going to happen at all because AI is so unpredictable especially as we see robots that Elon musk created it’s getting kind of scary.
  5. i wasn’t surprised of their responses to be honest because they were kind of predictable especially since no one knows what’s going to happen with AI, but it’s scary to see that when l graduate l may not find a good job because of AI. l think l should start applying to more internships to have valuable experience in my CV.
